Colchester United went down to a 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.Colchester United missed the chance to return to the top of the table after a 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town.
Southend United's win over Rotherham United meant The U's needed a result at The Galpharm Stadium, but it was The Terriers that took the lead on 14 minutes through Jonathan Worthington.

Oldham Athletic were held by Bournemouth at Dean Court, while Leon Constantine's strike gave Port Vale a 1-0 home win over Yeovil Town.
Gillingham held Tranmere Rovers to a 1-1 draw at The Priestfield Stadium.
On-loan Stephen O'Leary gave Rovers the lead three minutes after the break before Darren Byfield earned a point for The Gills with a leveller 17 minutes from the end.
Bradford City were also held to a 1-1 draw by Swindon Town at Valley Parade.
Dean Windass looked to have given The Bantams the win with a goal on 79 minutes, but Sean O'Hanlon earned The Robins a point with a dramatic late equaliser.
Struggling Walsall earned a 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe United at The Bescot Stadium, with Andy Keogh handing The Iron the lead on 19 minutes.
Dean Keates equalised on the half hour mark for The Saddlers before Neil MacKenzie restored Scunthorpe's lead just before the break.
Things looked worse for The Saddlers after Paul Devlin was sent off for violent conduct on 69 minutes, but Andrew Barrowman made sure there was a share of the spoils in the Black Country.
Finally, Milton Keynes Dons boosted their chances of League One survival with a 3-0 win over ten-man Blackpool.
A brace from Izale McLeod (26, 87) sent Danny Wilson's side on their way to a vital win, with Scott Taylor (51) also finding the scoresheet for the Buckinghamshire club.
The Seasiders had centre back Tony Butler sent off in the second half for a second bookable offence.
