Colchester United assistant manager John Ward has issued a hands-off warning to potential suitors eyeing up full-back Marc Tierney.
The left-back has been in great form this season, as the Us look to establish themselves as promotion contenders in League One, and a number of Championship clubs are now said to be keeping tabs on the former Shrewsbury defender.
Ward insists that no offers have been made for the 24-year-old as yet, and he is eager for that to remain the case.
"It is paper talk at the moment and we are very pleased with Marc at the moment," he told skysports.com.
"He has knuckled down and got himself into some good form lately.
"Even during the games that we lost heavily in, he was the one of the few players that kept going and we rate him very highly. I've not heard of any interest in him and we hope that it stays that way."
The Us have been pretty busy this month, with a number of players recruited, and Ward doubts that there will be any further incomings before the deadline passes.
"Everything has been sorted already," he added.
"We've brought a number of players in this month, with Ian Henderson, Kayode Odejayi, David Prutton, John-Joe O'Toole all brought in, so there has been a lot of activity.
"We have quite a big squad as well, so I doubt we will bring anyone else in before the deadline."
