New Glovers boss Gary Johnson is keen to bolster his goalkeeping options but the club have said a deal for the highly-rated Walker is not in the pipeline.
Walker move to Stamford Bridge on schoolboy terms from Millwall three years ago and, standing at 6ft 6in tall, is a commanding presence at the back.
The keeper has had spells on loan at Barnet and Northampton during the last 12 months and Chelsea are ready to loan him out again so that he can continue his development.
