Sheffield Wednesday have signed goalkeeper Jake Kean after his release by Norwich.
Kean moved to Carrow Road from Blackburn on a two-year-deal last summer but was third-choice 'keeper behind John Ruddy and Declan Rudd.
He spent time on loan in League One at Colchester and Swindon in the second half of last season, making five and three appearances respectively.
Kean says he is now relishing the chance to provide competition to current Wednesday first-choice goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
"Obviously this is a massive club with a great history and hopefully an even better future," he told the club's official website.
"There is a lot of competition but any competition is good competition. It's up to me to come here and have a go and try and get that No 1 shirt.
"But it's Keiren's at the minute and if I can provide more competition for him and make him play better then great."
