Sheffield Wednesday striker Andrew Talbot has extended his Hillsborough contract.Sheffield Wednesday striker Andrew Talbot has extended his contract until the summer of 2007.
The 18-year-old's previous deal at Hillsborough was set to expire at the season's end, but the teenager has penned a new two-year deal with the League One club.
Talbot has scored three goals in his last three appearances from the substitutes' bench with The Owls and manager Paul Sturrock has decided to reward Talbot's efforts with a new contract.
"Drew has merited this contract," Sturrock told the club's official website.
"I'm very pleased with the progress and development he has shown.
"He is not the finished article and there are lots of things to work on in his game. But he is a nice, down-to-earth lad with an inner hardness about him."
Meanwhile, Wednesday have appointed Kaven Walker as the club's new chief executive this week.
