Colin Kazim-Richards' last-gasp goal earned Brighton a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Monday night.
Sheffield Wednesday looked set to be on their way to all three points after Lee Peacock's opener, but Kazim-Richards' injury time header denied them the spoils.
Wednesday started brightly and created the first chance of the game on eight minutes when Brunt set up Peacock and he fired a shot which Wayne Henderson pushed away.
David Graham had the next chance for the hosts ten minutes later when he flashed a long-range strike just wide of the target.
Brighton went close to scoring on 24 minutes when Seb Carole cut inside and hit a bouncing shot which David Lucas did well to turn round the post.
On-loan Manchester United midfielder Chris Eagles tried to lift the tempo of the game and he went close with a strong run and shot from the edge of the area.
Wednesday broke the deadlock on 55 minutes when the impressive Brunt beat two Brighton challenges in midfield and fired in a shot which Henderson could only parry allowing Peacock to fire home the rebound.
Brighton tried to respond and Dean Hammond drilled a shot straight at Lucas before Colin Kazim-Richards saw his volley pushed round the post by Lucas.
Wednesday should have added a second goal on 72 minutes when John Hills collected a quick free kick from Lee Bullen and delivered a perfect cross for Peacock in front of goal, but the striker struck his shot wide of the target.
Peacock had another chance to score on 79 minutes when he outpaced the Brighton defence to latch onto Bullen's header, but with just Henderson to beat he flicked his effort wide.
Brighton substitute Albert Jarrett had an opportunity to score seven minutes from time when he got behind Bullen, but Lucas was out quickly to block his effort.
The visitors stunned the home side two minutes into stoppage time when Kazim-Richards brilliantly headed past Lucas to earn Brighton a point.
