Swindon Town have signed striker Lee Peacock from Sheffield Wednesday.Swindon Town have signed striker Lee Peacock on a free transfer from Championship club Sheffield Wednesday.
The 29-year-old joins the West Country club after signing a contract until the summer of 2008, having fallen out of favour at Hillsborough.
The former Carlisle United, Mansfield Town, Manchester City and Bristol City hit-man will be available for Saturday's match against Bournemouth, with Peacock looking forward to his spell with the League One strugglers.
"I can't wait to get started and I'm delighted to have everything sorted now," Peacock told Swindon's official website.
"I am sure there will be great competition for places, so I will have to take my chance and try and force my way into the side and stay there.
"The rest of the season presents us with a challenge, but I'm sure we have enough here to get out of trouble."
Peacock joins new loan signing Albert Jarrett and recent addition Paul Smith in making the move to The County Ground this month.
