The visiting Bluebirds, though, had to come from behind after Drewe Broughton had given The Harriers the lead on 14 minutes.
However, the Welsh outfit showed admirable tenacity, and a two-goal burst in four minutes before the interval turned the game on its head.
Scott Young levelled matters on 41 minutes, and Jason Bowen (pictured) capped the comeback with a strike on the stroke of half-time.
The home side chased for an equaliser, but Daniel Gabiddon sealed the win with a late finish, althouh Kidderminster caused a frantic final minute when Broughton scored his second in injury-time.
Amazingly, Robert Earnshaw went straight up the other end to restore Cardiff`s two-goal cushion.
Cardiff move level on points with Brighton, but are still 16 points behind runaway leaders Chesterfield.
Kidderminster`s outside chance of a play-off spot took a severe dent with the defeat and they are in danger of seeing their season fizzle out into mid-table mediocrity.
