Lennie Lawrence's charges bounced back from their 2-1 home reverse against QPR by handing out a thumping to Lawrie Sanchez's Chairboys.
Peter Thorne (pictured) grabbed an early opener for The Bluebirds after just five minutes, before Alan Mahon doubled their advantage on 68 minutes.
Thorne grabbed a second in the 82nd minute before Andy Legg completed the scoring at Adams Park six minutes from time.
The Welsh side now move up into third place in the Division Two table, and are just a point off second placed Crewe.
Luton Town's play-off hopes could well have been killed off by Cheltenham Town, as they grabbed a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw at Whaddon Road.
Paul Hughes gave Luton the lead after 12 minutes only for Grant McCann's penalty to draw the sides level after 27 minutes.
Adrian Forbes restored the advantage for The Hatters and it looked like three points for Joe Kinnear's side until nine minutes from the end when Julian Alsop popped up to grab a point for the hosts.
Bobby Gould's Robins are now two points behind fourth-bottom Peterborough, and still have a chance of survival in Division Two.
