Nottingham Forest have signed Millwall striker Neil Harris for a nominal fee.Nottingham Forest have boosted their striking ranks with the signing of Millwall's Neil Harris.
The 27-year-old arrives at The City Ground for a nominal fee after bringing a premature halt to his loan at fellow Championship side Cardiff City.
The former Cambridge City hit-man, who returned to football after a successful battle with testicular cancer, has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Forest.
Harris leaves The Den after seven years and as the club's joint all-time leading scorer with 93 goals - a record he shares with former Lion and current West Ham United striker Teddy Sheringham.
Harris revealed his delight at heading to the East Midlands and joining the struggling Championship club.
"I couldn't wait to get here," Harris told Forest's official website.
"I spoke to [caretaker manager] Mick Harford at the weekend and when he asked me whether I fancied a move to Forest, I just said yes.
"We didn't even talk terms - I just knew it was the right move for me."
Harris is expected to make his Forest debut on Boxing Day when the club travel to West Ham.
