Lenny reveals Prem interest

Lennie Lawrence admits several Premiership clubs are chasing some of their players.

Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence has revealed that a number of Premiership clubs have asked to be kept informed over a number of their players.

The Bluebirds' immediate future has been cast in doubt due to a financial crisis and they were forced to sell captain Graham Kavanagh to Wigan last week to ease their money problems.

A number of other players are set to move on with the likes of Danny Gabbidon, James Collins and Cameron Jerome all attracting interest from a number of clubs.

Lawrence admitted that some Premiership clubs have asked the club to keep hang of some player until the summer when they can move for them when the transfer window reopens.

"There has been contact from Premiership clubs asking them to be kept informed about all three," said Lawrence.

Lawrence also revealed that Championship rivals Nottingham Forest are keen on signing striker Peter Thorne, but that no bid had been received for the attacker.

"There's interest from Forest in Thorne, but we haven't had a bid from them yet," added Lawrence.
