Gulls look at keeper

Torquay United have handed a trial to Cardiff City goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett.

Torquay United have handed a trial to Cardiff City goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett.

The 25-year-old has barely had a look-in at Ninian Park since he joined the club from Norwich City in 2003.

Lee-Barrett has made just one substitute appearance for The Bluebirds and is now trying to earn a move to Plainmoor.

The League One outfit will assess the keeper in training this week before manager Leroy Rosenior makes a decision on Lee-Barrett.

Rosenior has been looking to strengthen his goalkeeping ranks in recent weeks after Phil Barnes had his loan spell cut short by Sheffield United.

The Gulls did bring in Andy Marriott last week but Rosenior has now handed Lee-Barrett the opportunity to clinch a contract with the South Devon club.
