Cardiff City closed out a turbulent campaign with a narrow 1-0 win at home to QPR.Cardiff City closed out a turbulent campaign in the right manner with a narrow 1-0 success at home to Queens Park Rangers.
Jobi McAnuff grabbed the only goal at Ninian Park on 26 minutes as The Bluebirds finished the season four points above the relegation zone.
The Welsh side were the dominant force during a lively first half with Cameron Jerome forcing an early save out of Generoso Rossi.
James Collins headed a Neal Ardley corner over before The R's responded through Jamie Cureton, who turned Marcus Bignot's cross wide.
The breakthrough came just after the midway point in the first half as the impressive Jerome dashed to the by-line to cut the ball back for McAnuff who delivered a controlled finish from the edge of the area.
Jerome had a chance to extend the lead before the interval as he shot just over but the game lacked sparkle in the second half.
Cureton was again close for the visitors, before Alan Lee drilled wide for Cardiff as the match petered out to a tame conclusion.
