Bristol City have rejected bids from Cardiff City and Hull City for Danny Coles.Bristol City have rejected bids from Championship sides Cardiff City and Hull City for centre back Danny Coles.
The 23-year-old is in talks over a new contract at Ashton Gate, with the former club trainee's current deal to expire at the season's end.
Cardiff's bid comes after The Bluebirds were turned away with a previous £500,000 offer for the defender last season while Tigers boss Peter Taylor has also shown an interest in bringing Coles to The Kingston Communications Stadium.
Despite the offers from Cardiff and Hull, Robins chairman Steve Lansdown declared their intention to keep Coles for the forthcoming campaign.
"We see his future as being with us and that is why we have turned down the offers," Lansdown told the club's official website.
"Unless a club comes in with the sort of money we cannot afford to turn down - as in the case of Leroy Lita - Danny won't be going anywhere."
Meanwhile, City boss Brian Tinnion has taken Scottish goalkeeper Colin Stewart on trial.
The former Kilmarnock trainee has played his entire career north of the border, having recently had spells at Queen's Park and Ross County.
