Lawrie Sanchez says Jeff Whitley and Phil Mulryne may still play for Northern Ireland.Lawrie Sanchez says rebel duo Jeff Whitley and Phil Mulryne could have one last chance to save their international careers.
The Cardiff City duo broke a curfew whilst in Belfast on international duty with Northern Ireland, and were booted out of the squad by Sanchez.
Although the manager is not happy with the pair, he said that it may not be the end of their international careers and they could have one last chance.
"They broke a curfew that everybody else was abiding to but I am not saying it is the end," said Sanchez.
"You know people make mistakes.
"They will have to reassess what happened. I will have to go away and reassess what happens after the games.
"You do need discipline around the team - if you don't have discipline then you tend to end up in situations that are not advantageous to yourself or the majority who abide by the rules."
Burnley defender Michael Duff, Hibernian's Ivan Sproule and Motherwell marksman Andy Smith have all been called up into the squad to face Azerbaijan on Saturday and England on Wednesday.
