Dundee United boss Craig Levein hopes to finalise a deal for Willo Flood in the coming days.

Levein looking to agree permanent deal for midfielder

Dundee United manager Craig Levein is optimistic of finalising a deal for Willo Flood in the coming days. Flood spent last season on loan at Tannadice from Cardiff City and made 44 appearances for the SPL club. He is keen to return to United on a permanent basis and a three-year contract is in the pipeline for the midfielder. Levein confirmed talks are ongoing and he is now hoping to come to an agreement with Cardiff regarding a transfer fee. "I hope to conclude the Willo deal in the next few days," said Levein in the Daily Record. "We are still in talks with Cardiff at the moment, but we are working hard to reach an agreement. "But the player wants to come back here after doing so well last season and we want him back, so we should get something sorted out fairly soon."
