Lewis wants to win for fans

Peterborough keeper Joe Lewis has promised to make amends to the fans this weekend by putting on a show against Charlton.

The visit of leaders Brighton last month was subject to plenty of build up, with manager Gary Johnson promising to pay £1000 of his own money to fund supporters' travel costs if 10,000 people turned up to see his side win. But Posh fell flat on the day as Brighton cruised to a 3-0 win and Lewis is determined to improve against Charlton. He said: "Saturday would be the perfect occasion to put on a show for the fans. We need to put what happened against Brighton to bed and also send out a message to the rest of League One. "People are always saying we have some of the best players in the division but we have to actually go out and show that on the pitch. "Our home record is pretty good on the whole and everyone is determined to prove that the defeat and display against Brighton was just a blip."
