SHREWS PUT PRESSURE ON LEADERS

The Shrews took the lead at Gay Meadow through Stephen Jegielka before Luke Rodgers banged in a hat-trick to seal the win and put pressure on Dale for top spot.
Rovers joined them on points with a late Andy Thomson goal sealing a 2-1 win over The Shrimpers who scored first through Leon Johnson before Mark Foran levelled the scores five minutes before half time.
Hull move into fourth just two points behind Rochdale by beating them 3-1 at Boothferry Park. Kevin Towson replied to a Gary Alexander goal but he then made it 2-1 for the hosts before Lawrie Dudfield made the game safe just after the hour mark.
Plymouth Argyle took the honours in the West Country derby at Exeter thanks to a last-minute striker from Ian Stonebridge. A hectic start saw Martin Phillips put the visitors ahead within five minutes before Chris Curran levelled the scores for The Grecians just two minutes later.
Chris Roberts gave City the lead before Micky Evans relied for the visitors after 65 minutes and Stonebridge stole the game with his 90th minute effort.
Darlington stay in touch with the leaders after a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Leyton Orient with goals for Barry Conlon, Paul Heckingbottom and Steve Harper.
Scunthorpe had to come from 2-0 down to rescue a point at home to Swansea. Jon Coates and John Williams gave the visitors a two-goal advantage after 25 minutes before Martin Carruthers and Stev Torpey secured the draw for the hosts.
Ricthie Foran and Chay Hews gave Carlisle their first win of the season against York, who grabbed a consolation through Salvati.
A Chris Coyne own goal gave Lincoln a point away at Luton who scored in the opponents net after just eight minutes through Luke Skelton.
Macclesfield Town registered a 2-0 win at Oxford thanks to Lee Glover and Kyle Lightbourne and Cheltenham grabbed a late win at second-bottom Hartlepool through Martin Devaney.
Halifax grabbed a 1-0 win at home to Mansfield through Gary Jones while newboys Rushden and Diamonds drew 0-0 at home to Torquay.
