Torquay have denied they are interested in signing Micky Evans from Plymouth.Torquay United have denied they are interested in signing Micky Evans from Devon rivals Plymouth Argyle.
Reports had suggested the experienced striker had become a target for the League One side, following Plymouth's capture of Nick Chadwick from Everton.
Evans is in his second spell with Plymouth and has spent the past four years at Home Park.
The 32-year-old has scored four goals for the Championship club this season and has featured regularly in manager Bobby Williamson's plans.
But that has not stopped him being linked with a switch to Plainmoor, a rumour that has quickly been put to bed by Torquay.
"This is pure kite-flying," Gulls chairman Mike Bateson told the club's official website.
"No one at TUFC has spoken to anyone at PAFC about such a move. End of story."
