Luton were undone by a late equaliser as they drew 1-1 at home to Plymouth.Luton Town failed to keep pace with Reading in the chase for automatic promotion as an injury time equaliser condemned them to a 1-1 draw with Plymouth.
The Hatters had looked set to continue their remarkable season as Warren Feeney put them on track with his fifth of the season on 64 minutes, although Bojan Djordjic levelled things deep into injury time.
Luton welcomed back skipper Kevin Nicholls and started well with Northern Ireland international Feeney and Chris Coyne coming close, but Plymouth gave them a shock as Anthony Barness struck the post.
Feeney continued to be in the thick of things in the first half with a number of chances, while Akos Buzsaky and Scott Taylor threatened for Tony Pulis's men.
Luton made the breakthrough just after the hour mark as Feeney headed in a dangerous cross from full-back Carlos Edwards.
Giant striker Steve Howard had two chances to further their lead and Luton paid for their profligacy when former Manchester United trainee Djordjic headed home from close range in injury time.
