Plymouth goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin has left Home Park by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old departs after just 16 appearances in his single season with the Pilgrims. "Rene is now free to find himself another club and advance his career away from Home Park," a club statement said. The Irishman arrived from Watford last summer, but has not featured since the 0-0 draw with Accrington in January. And with manager John Sheridan having signed former Oxford goalkeeper Luke McCormick to compete with Jake Cole, the keeper is heading to pastures new.
