Francis held discussions with most of the reserves last week, telling them that they had no future at the club and players could leave immediately or at the end of the season.
It is widely believed that Francis is looking to overhaul his playing staff during the summer and therefore, has given notice of his intentions to those players on the fringes of the squad.
It is believed that of the 12 players set to leave - they include Wayne Carlisle, Andrew Martin, David Woozley (pictured), Richard Harris, Steve Kabba, Robert Kember, and Jonathan Boardman.
Andrew Frampton and Richard Howell are also likely candidates for the axe by Palace, though no official word has been made as to who will be let go.
Most of Palace's fringe players have been loaned out to lower division sides this season, with Matt Gregg and Chris Sharpling having already left.
