Crystal Palace defender Danny Granville has signed a new two-year deal.Crystal Palace defender Danny Granville has signed a new two-year deal at the club.
Granville was out of contract at Selhurst Park but has decided to remain with The Eagles for a further two years.
The former Manchester City man had other offers but has decided to stay with Iain Dowie's side in the hope of helping them back into The Premiership.
"He had better offers but has shown a great deal of loyalty to Crystal Palace," said Palace director of football Bob Dowie.
"Danny's a very reliable left-back and we're very pleased to keep him here.
"He was sought after by a lot of other clubs but he's decided to stay and continue to work with manager Iain Dowie."
30-year-old Granville was an ever-present last term as Palace narrowly failed to remain in the top flight.
Dowie is meanwhile, weighing up a move for West Ham midfielder Steve Lomas, who is available on a free transfer.
