Freedman closes on striker deal

Skysports.com understands Crystal Palace are poised to sign Jermaine Easter from MK Dons. Easter only returned to MK Dons earlier this week after a spell on loan at Swansea, but it appears he could be on the move again. MK Dons are ready to sell the former Wycombe man to try and raise some funds and Palace are thought to have beaten off interest from a host of Championship sides. Palace are believed to have agreed a fee with MK Dons for the Welshman and they are trying to push through a deal to have Easter available for this weekend's game, ironically against Swansea. New Palace boss Dougie Freedman is keen to bolster his attacking options and it seems Easter is set to become his first signing since taking charge at Selhurst Park.
