International clearance granted for exciting prospect

Championship outfit Crystal Palace have finally confirmed the signing of Antonio Pedroza on a three-year deal. International clearance has now been granted for the 20-year-old striker, with an undisclosed fee to be paid to Mexican club Jaguares. The striker had been on trial with the Eagles for a month before earning a deal, with the paperwork for the move completed before the transfer deadline on 31st August. Palace boss Dougie Freedman is now looking forward to working and developing the young prospect. He told the club's official website: "I'm pleased to have brought another exciting young player to this club. "For a very small fee we have got a great prospect who with hard work could become an important part of our squad for years to come." Chester born Pedroza, who has an English mother and a Mexican father, added: "I feel very happy to be here. "It's really nice to have a chance to prove myself in English football. I'm happy to be at a great club like Crystal Palace with great fans." The highly-rated striker, who had most recently been playing for Jaguares, trained with Palace after seeing a proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur fall through earlier in the summer.
