Midfielder hits three in away win

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cotterill was 'delighted' with midfielder Radoslaw Majewski after his hat-trick secured a 3-0 away win at Crystal Palace. Goals from the Polish playmaker condemned Palace to only their third home defeat of the season while Forest are now unbeaten in four. The 25-year-old had gone nearly six months without a goal but three superb second-half finishes edged Forest another step closer to ensuring their championship status for next season. Cotterill hailed Majewski's contribution as Forest end the month on a high following the astonishing 7-3 win over Leeds.

Delighted

"I'm absolutely delighted for him," said Cotterill. "For me, he lost his way a little bit earlier in the season and didn't end up putting in the performances that we know he can. "Today was totally different and he was superb. "We came here looking to pick up something from a tough away game but to go and score three goals, keep a clean sheet and come away with all three points means we are well worth our fish and chips on the way home." Majewski opened the scoring on 53 minutes, notching the second in the 72nd minute and completing his hat-trick with a lovely curling finish from Chris Gunter's cut-back eight minutes from time.
Palace reaction
Dougie Freedman admitted his side did not deserve to get anything from the game. "Result-wise, it wasn't a good day of course but I felt for 65-7-0 minutes it was a very even game," he said. "If we had taken one or two of our opportunities earlier on then it may have been a different story. "But Forest did really well to get the first goal and that opened up the game. They had a little bit of quality up front and they deserved it in the end. "It's disappointing but it teaches me a lot in terms of how we go about our business."
