Puncheon has impressed since joining on a season-long loan from Southampton in the summer and Palace want to keep him at Selhurst Park.
The 27-year-old winger signed a new deal at St Mary's until 2016 last March, but reports suggest that Saints are willing to let him leave for a fee of £1.75million.
Puncheon has helped Palace pull out of the drop zone, scoring winning goals in the recent victories over Stoke and Hull City.
Manager Tony Pulis was delighted with Puncheon's response after he was criticised for a shocking penalty miss in this month's defeat at Tottenham.
Speaking after Tuesday's home win over Hull, Pulis said: "We have been really pleased with Puncheon because, since the penalty miss, he has picked himself up and the two games since he has been wonderful."
The much-travelled player previously spent loan spells with QPR, Blackpool and Millwall, but could soon commit his future to the Eagles.
