Boyd deal hits the skids

The lively young striker has enjoyed a productive spell on loan at York Street this season, scoring four times in fourteen full appearances and had looked likely to make the make the switch permanent.
However, it now appears that the player will be remaining in the North East, unless Hartlepool choose to reconsider their position over the proposed deal.
Another young talent to leave York Street this week is Chris Hogg, who had previously agreed to stay at the Third Division strugglers until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old defender had impressed for The Pilgrims since joining Boston on loan from Ipswich Town earlier in the season but is now to return to Portman Road immediately. As yet no explanation has been given for his departure.
Meanwhile, Pools midfielder Gavin Strachan is facing another month on the sidelines after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury this week.
