Burnley have signed Ispwich's highly-rated young striker Dean Bowditch on loan.Burnley have signed Ipswich's highly-rated young striker Dean Bowditch on a month-long loan deal.
The 18-year-old rejected a similar move to League One outfit Oldham earlier in the week, but has accepted the chance to gain some first-team action at Turf Moor.
Bowditch, who broke into the senior set-up at Portman Road last term, has just three goals to his name this season, but has been used mainly as a substitute by Joe Royle.
He has struggled to displace Shefki Kuqi and Darren Bent in Royle's first team and will now look to make an impact with The Clarets.
Burnley boss Steve Cotterill expressed his delight at the capture of the teenager, telling the club's official website: "He is a good, young and very exciting player.
"We are looking forward to seeing him in our team and adding him to the squad.
"He hasn't had too many opportunities to shine this season, but hopefully we can see him shine here over the next few weeks."
