Ipswich have offered Jimmy Juan and Dean McDonald another year at Portman Road.Ipswich have offered both Jimmy Juan and Dean McDonald another year to impress at Portman Road.
The duo were both brought in by Joe Royle in 2005 and have done enough to earn another season, potentially in The Premiership if Ipswich can prevail through the play-offs.
Juan could see his loan deal with Monaco extended until the end of 2006 after Ipswich hammered out a deal with the French outfit, and the midfielder will be looking to prove his worth after being denied the chance to do so due to injury so far.
McDonald, a former Arsenal youth player, has impressed Royle with his physical attributes and has been handed an extension to his current short term deal.
"The chairman has sorted something out with Jimmy and Monaco and we are looking to take him on a year's loan next season," Royle told the club's official website.
"He has done well while he's been here but he's had a few injury problems and fitness has been the main problem.
"The summer's break will do him good and he should be raring to go in pre-season.
"[McDonald] has come in and done well, he takes players on and has pace about him but with a physical bite as well."
