James O'Connor set Burnley on their way to a 3-0 win over Ipswich.Burnley ended their run of seven league games without a win by beating Ipswich 3-0 at Turf Moor.
James O'Connor, Garreth O'Connor and Chris McCann were on target for Steve Cotterill's side as they secured a comfortable win to move out of the bottom three.
Ipswich travelled to East Lancashire in confident mood after their 2-0 win at Leeds on Saturday, but it was Burnley who made the early running with two shots from Ade Akinbiyi which Lewis Price saved.
The hosts deservedly went ahead in the 33rd minute when Akinbiyi threaded a ball through to James O'Connor, whose shot took a deflection on its way past Price.
Jason de Vos blocked well to prevent Graham Branch from adding a second soon after and Akinbiyi forced another save from Price before Burnley finally added their second in the 72nd minute, when Garreth O'Connor blasted in a free kick from 25 yards.
McCann was then left unmarked to head in the third from Garreth O'Connor's corner three minutes from time.
