Ipswich striker Dean Bowditch has made a three-month loan switch to Wycombe.Ipswich striker Dean Bowditch has made a three-month loan switch to Wycombe Wanderers.
The 19-year-old is highly rated at Portman Road and earlier in his career was linked with a switch to The Premiership.
However, he has struggled for form of late and with this is in mind requested to leave Ipswich on loan, with Blackpool, Gillingham and Walsall all credited with an interest.
Bowditch has plumped for Wycombe, in a move that has been giving the blessing of Town boss Joe Royle, who has also insisted on a stipulation that would allow him to recall the player at any time after an initial 28 days.
"We don't want to leave ourselves short," said Royle. "Both Nicky Forster and Sam Parkin are moving towards full fitness and Adam Proudlock would have played in the reserve game on Monday had it not been postponed.
"Dean will be going into a good environment at Wycombe. John Gorman's teams pass the ball and given their league position at the moment they must be a confident side.
"Dean needs to get back to the player he was a couple of seasons ago. He is looking to kick-start his career at Wycombe and we naturally wish him well."
