Kevin Blackwell has another signing lined up for Leeds United.
Kevin Blackwell has another signing lined up for Leeds United, after extolling the virtues of Geoff Horsfield and Ian Westlake.
The Whites are aiming to push for a return to The Premiership this season and Blackwell has been trying to add to his squad.
He has brought in Sebastien Carole from Brighton and Kevin Nicholls from Luton, although David Livermore was sold on to Hull only a couple of weeks after being signed from Millwall.
Only this week, Blackwell has set up a swap deal with Ipswich Town, which will see Westlake arrive at Elland Road and Dan Harding move in the opposite direction.
Blackwell has also raided former club Sheffield United for experienced striker Geoff Horsfield, who will be trying to earn a permanent contract in West Yorkshire.
The Leeds boss also revealed that another potential signing is undergoing a medical, with a view to joining the Championship club.
"Geoff has joined on loan and we will maybe make that permanent," Blackwell told Sky Sports News.
"He is a good signing and experienced. Other players we have signed are Seb Carole, as you know, and Kevin Nicholls.
"Hopefully we are on with a medical with another player as we speak.
"It's nearly there (the Westlake signing), but it's not done until it's done.
"I think it will be a good acquisition if we can complete everything on time. He is a proven player and, at 22, he has a big future ahead of him."
