Blues boss looking for better

Chesterfield boss John Sheridan has called for improvement following their 3-0 friendly defeat by Huddersfield on Tuesday.

Goals from Alan Lee, Jimmy Spencer and Jordan Sinnott were enough to sink a lacklustre Spireites line-up. "They moved the ball really well and made us chase it a lot. Listen, sometimes you learn more from these games and you could see sometimes our shape wasn't quite right because of the quality of their play," Sheridan told the club's official website. "I thought we got really into the game in the second-half, we kept battling and had some good chances. "I spoke to Simon (Grayson, Huddersfield manager) and he said they've been very poor this pre-season and that's the best they've played. "I think it's just being disciplined and i don't like losing any games, I think it's always important to try and win games and take that confidence into the league programme."
