Free agent Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is keeping his options open and is waiting for the right opportunity as he plots his return to football.
The former Wolves striker is currently without a club after leaving Ipswich Town at the end of last season.
The 28-year-old has been working hard during the summer to keep himself fit so that he is ready to hit the ground running when he fixes himself up with a new club.
"I am fit and ready to go whenever the right offer comes along," Ebanks-Blake told Sky Sports. "I am keeping myself in the right condition as I am old enough and experienced enough to know that things can change in football very quickly and I might need to be ready straight away if a club comes in for me.
"I have been working hard in the gym, working with a personal trainer and going out on the bike a lot to maintain my fitness and condition so I am ready to go straight away."
Ebanks-Blake, who has made nearly 300 appearances in his career, admits he has received several offers this summer, but he is no rush to accept anything as he wants to ensure he makes the right choice where to continue his career.
"I have had a couple of offers, but nothing that has jumped out at me straight away.
"I am happy to sit tight and assess everything and keep my options open.
I am not going to rush anything as it will have to be the right offer which feels right for me and I will be patient and wait for that to come along.
"Of course I want to go to a club that matches my ambitions and is the right challenge for me.
"I have had setbacks in football and the key to it is to be enjoying your football and I want to get back into it to enjoy it.
"I am not going to rush anything as it will have to be the right offer which feels right for me and I will be patient and wait for that to come along."
The former Manchester United youngster has played the majority of his career in the Premier League and Championship, and Ebanks-Blake is determined to play at the highest level possible.
"I want to play at the highest level for as long as possible," added Ebanks-Blake.
"Having played in the Premier League and the Championship I am confident I can score goals and I am excited about what the future holds for me."
