Burnley boss Sean Dyche wants 'two or three' more new signings

Burnley played two friendlies on Saturday, winning both

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is hoping to sign at least two more players before the transfer window closes on August 31.

The Clarets have made three signing so far this summer with left back Charlie Taylor joining from Leeds United, forward Jonathan Walters joining from Stoke City and midfielder Jack Cork moving from Swansea City.

Those additions have been offset by the loss of Michael Keane to Everton, while Joey Barton, George Boyd and Michael Kightly were released, and Paul Robinson retired.

Argentinian midfielder Gonzalo Escalante, who plays for Spanish club Eibar, is a player Burnley are interesting is signing and Dyche admits he is not happy with his squad as it stands.

"There are a couple of spots to fill," Dyche told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We lost four and Robbo retired and we've brought three in, so we're certainly one down from the group as it was and hopefully we'll get two or three in if we can.

"We've got some good business done early, which is very difficult. We are still looking. There are still a couple of situations that might arise so we're on them as well."
