The midfielder was not due to complete his scholarship until next summer but has accepted the offer of a three-year deal that keeps him at Turf Moor until the summer of 2006.
Chaplow has forced his way into the first team and Burnley boss Stan Ternent (pictured) has seen the youngster crown some excellent displays with his first senior goal against Crewe two weeks ago.
"I've supported the club since I was young and I've been here since I was eight years old," stated the player to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"It has been great to be involved in the first team and it's something I've wanted to do all my life."
Chaplow only made his Clarets debut at Norwich in April and has made just five first team starts in total.
"The last six months have been like a whirlwind," admitted the teenager.
"I'd been working hard and playing in the reserves and when I was first called up to the squad last season, it was a dream come true."
He concluded: "The gaffer called me in and said that he wanted to reward me, so I'm delighted to sign and I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my years here."
