Crewe picked up three points with a Boxing Day win, courtesy of a brace from Steve Jones and an opener by Dean Ashton - with Robbie Blake scoring a consolation for the visitors.
After a bright start by Burnley, Crewe had scored against the run of play when Kenny Lunt's penalty was only half cleared by Arthur Gnohere and Ashton capitalised from close range.
Ince had already denied Richard Chaplow and Glen Little, and had to be on his game as The Clarets rained shots in on his goal as they sought an equaliser.
Steve Jones relieved the pressure ten minutes into the second half when he cut inside and slotted home for Crewe's second, and after a Gnohere shot had been cleared off the line by David Wright, Burnley grabbed one back three minutes from time.
Luke Chadwick was felled in the area and in-form Robbie Blake converted from the penalty spot, but any thought of a comeback was swiftly ended by Jones's second.
The striker grabbed his 13th goal of the season when he latched onto a Lunt pass and slotted past Brian Jensen in the Burnley goal.
