Burnley will tie up a £25,000 deal for Danny Coyne soon, with Leicester City confirming that the arrival of Kevin Pressman will precipitate the goalkeeper's exit.
Coyne is finalising contract talks with Burnley over a move, where he will be competing with Brian Jensen for The Clarets' number one shirt.
City's director of football Dave Bassett confirmed to skysports.com that a deal was close.
"We've agreed to let him go to Burnley and the deal should be done soon," said Bassett.
"When we brought in Pressman it meant we could offload the lad and the deal is nearly complete."
Coyne, a Wales international, will be a welcome arrival for Burnley boss Steve Cotterill as he looks to build a squad for the coming season.
The manager inherited only the bare bones of a side when he took over from Stan Ternent, and has been working hard to bring in players this summer.
