First team favourites Tony Grant and Mo Camara have also been allowed to seek pastures new - as manager Steve Cotterill seeks to build on an impressive first season in charge.
"All of them have left on very amicable terms this morning," Cotterill told the club's official site.
"It was actually quite sad really but football is a transitional sport and players come and go.
"I hope they go on to do as well in their careers elsewhere as they have certainly done for me in my short time here."
The summer is expected to see a major overhaul at Turf Moor, with Cotterill hoping that impressive cup runs - including giant-killing acts on Liverpool and Aston Villa - will attract a high calibre of player.
Having inherited just 11 first team players when he took over last summer, the latest exits have left Cotterill with just Graham Branch and Brian Jensen from predecessor Stan Ternent's era.
