Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has admitted he will struggle to hold onto his star names over the summer.
The Clarets finished 12 points clear of the Championship relegation zone and the vultures may now be circling for their best performers.
After losing a number of big name stars in recent years, Cotterill has conceded he may not be able to keep his best players at the club when the transfer window opens.
"If someone wants to come along and buy the likes of Chris McCann, Kyle Lafferty, Andy Gray or Alan Mahon and the money is right, I wouldn't say, hand on heart, that we could keep them," Cotterill told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"That's the difficult part of it because you can never build.
"But that is the financial predicament we are in and it is reality, so we probably just have to do our best with what we have."
