Burnley midfielder Micah Hyde is hoping to extend his stay at Turf Moor, despite being transfer listed at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old has forced his way back into manager Steve Cotterill's plans after his days at the club appeared numbered at the end of last season.
Hyde was one of four players with a year remaining on their Burnley deals made available for transfer in May.
However, after staying at the Championship club, Hyde has made seven appearances for Cotterill's men this season.
The former Watford man is keen to stay with The Clarets but insists a new deal is the least of his worries at the moment.
"You never know what's around the corner," Hyde said. "I want to be in a winning team and be part of a winning team
"The more we keep winning, the stronger the position for ourselves.
"I'm coming to the end of my contract this year and who knows what will happen but the most important thing is we just keep taking each game as it comes."
