Peterborough have signed Jamaican international Micah Hyde from Burnley.
Peterborough have signed Jamaican international Micah Hyde from Burnley, as Keith Alexander continues an extensive overhaul of his squad.
Hyde moves to London Road for an initial fee of £75,000 which could rise to £100,000 if Peterborough are promoted this season.
The 32-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal at Peterborough and could be involved in the weekend match at Darlington.
Hyde becomes Posh's fifth signing in the January transfer window following the arrivals of Shwan Jalal, Aaron McLean, George Boyd and Josh Low this month.
"Micah is an experienced player and the type of player that we need to work alongside the young players and the new signings. There are a lot of changes taking place and we need an experienced body," Alexander told the club's official website.
"He has been very successful at all his clubs and is highly thought of in the game. We have done very well to get him here to Peterborough and he is a good signing for this football club."
Meanwhile, the clearout at Peterborough has seen striker Justin Richards join Boston on loan.
Richards, who has already had a spell on loan at Grays Athletic this season, has moved to The Staffsmart Stadium on a one-month deal.
"Justin is a player that I've tracked for some time and I'm overjoyed to have him with us for a month initially," Boston boss Steve Evans told the club's official website.
"He will complement the attacking options we already have in place and hopefully he will prove to be a good signing."
