Burnley have taken Sam Vokes on loan from Wolves in a deal that is set to run until January.
The Clarets confirmed the deal on Friday, with Eddie Howe having been looking to bolster his firepower over recent weeks.
The 22-year-old could be handed an immediate debut against Leeds on Saturday, a side he knows well having spent time on loan at Elland Road in 2009.
Vokes has also taken in spells at Bristol City, Sheffield United and Norwich in the last two seasons, with first team football having been hard to come by at Molineux.
He will be looking to catch the eye during his time at Turf Moor, having rediscovered his scoring touch when netting a brace for Wales in their 4-1 friendly victory over Norway.
Howe is looking forward to reacquainting himself with Vokes as he is well aware of what the young forward is capable of having worked alongside him during their time together at Bournemouth.
The Burnley boss said: "I have known Sam for a long time, since he was 16 years old.
"He did fantastically well in his early years at Bournemouth, got his move to Wolves and started really well there and is now getting international recognition.
"Sam is a striker in form who scored two goals for his country last week and he fits our criteria."
Vokes, who will remain with Burnley until 15th January, has made seven appearances for Wolves this season but his only starts have come in the Carling Cup.
