Brighton & Hove Albion chairman Tony Bloom has confirmed the club have rejected an enquiry from Norwich City for Elliott Bennett.
The winger has been one of the star performers in Gus Poyet's side this season as Brighton push for promotion from League One.
Poyet revealed at the weekend that several Championship clubs had sent scouts to watch the Seagulls' 3-1 win over Peterborough United, but insisted he did not have to sell any players.
Bloom has reiterated that stance after confirming he has informed Norwich that the highly-rated Bennett is not for sale.
"There has been interest from Norwich, but we do not want Elliott to go anywhere, and we have made that clear to them," Bloom told the club's official website.
"Elliott is a key part of the squad, which is why we recently gave him a new three-and-a-half-year contract.
"He has been superb for the club since he came here, and we are not surprised he is attracting interest from a club in a higher division."
