Midfielder Graham Dorrans has agreed a new long-term contract at West Bromwich Albion.

The Scotland international had looked like leaving The Hawthorns for most of last season, with his contract having been due to expire at the end of the campaign.

But Dorrans was recalled to the first team by then boss Pepe Mel and played a major part in West Brom’s Premier League survival.

At the end of the season, West Brom took up a one-year option on Dorrans, while talks over a new deal continued.

Now Sky Sports can confirm that Dorrans has agreed a three-year deal with West Brom, who have appointed Alan Irvine as Mel’s successor.

A source close to the 27-year-old told Sky Sports: "Graham is delighted, he is looking forward to working with Alan Irvine, who he has been very impressed by."
