The 21-year-old, who has come through the youth ranks at Highfield Road after joining from Birmingham City, impressed last season despite City suffering relegation and he has established himself as one of Gordon Strachan's key players.
Eustace admitted he was delighted to have sorted out his future ahead of the new season as The Sky Blues try to win promotion back to The Premiership at the first attempt.
"I am very happy to be staying at Coventry City," Eustace told the club's official website.
"Last season was obviously very disappointing for everyone but I think that this is going to be an exciting season for us, some great players have joined us and the squad is looking really solid.
"We are all eager to get straight back into the Premiership and I am really looking forward to playing my part in the new campaign."
Sky Blues boss Strachan was happy that Eustace, who is rated as one of the best young midfielders in the country had pledged his future to the club.
"This is a huge boost for the club," said Strachan.
"The new signings have made for a fantastic atmosphere here this week and the news of John's contract added to that makes this a great week for the club and for the club's future.
"John is a Coventry player through and through and has shown what the club means to him by signing this new contract.
"The coaches, players and staff at the club are all absolutely delighted and hopefully the supporters will be too."
Coventry are also believed to have agreed a $1 million (£702,000) deal for Moroccan international Youssef Safri from Raja Casablanca.
Safri, a 24-year-old midfielder is due in England to sign a four-year deal and will link-up with fellow Moroccan Youssef Chipo at Highfield Road.
