Micky Adams has conceded that he has turned down an inquiry for Gary McSheffrey.Coventry boss Micky Adams has conceded that he has turned down an inquiry for Gary McSheffrey.
League One promotion chasers Luton Town are keen on the player who enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Kenilworth Road earlier in the season.
However, Town boss Mike Newell admits that he has been spurned in his latest attempt to sign McSheffrey on a permanent basis.
''We made an enquiry but unfortunately it's not going to happen,'' said Newell.
Adams has already stated that he will not be shy in making changes to his playing staff if required and claims that like the rest of his squad, McSheffrey's situation is being considered.
''Gary's contract is up, everyone knows that, and I have to sit down with players at the end of the season and decide whether they are worth giving a contract or not,'' concluded Adams.
''It doesn't take a genius to work out that every player at this club has got a price on their head and if Luton Town or anyone else care to offer a genuine amount of cash then we would have to consider it.''
