Gary McSheffrey has agreed a new three-year contract to stay with Coventry City.Gary McSheffrey has agreed a new three-year contract to stay with Coventry City.
The striker was among a number of Sky Blues players to have been offered terms to help usher in a new era at the Ricoh Arena next season.
McSheffrey has seen his Coventry career revitalised by the appointment of Micky Adams as manager, after spending a month on loan at Luton Town during the early stages of last season.
He ended the campaign as Coventry's top scorer with 14 goals and is now set to sign his three-year deal upon his return from holiday, much to the delight of Adams.
"I'm delighted another one of our current squad has agreed to stay with us," Adams told the club's official website.
"He's been an integral part of the squad since I arrived and I'm sure his input will continue next season and beyond."
