Micky Adams is fearful of Premiership clubs bidding for Coventry City striker Gary McSheffrey during the transfer window.
The 23-year-old has bagged seven goals in 22 games this term and Adams is fully aware of the forward's contribution to the cause at The Ricoh Arena.
"He's the type of lad you don't talk about too much," explained Adams to Sky Sports News. "You're tipping him off to other clubs.
"He has got great pace, a great left foot and knows where the goal is, so what more do you want?
"But he's not for sale."
Adams also paid tribute to the influence of experienced ex-Scotland international Don Hutchison.
"Mentally, he's alright," added Adams. "His legs are perhaps telling him he's not, but he doesn't want to listen to that.
"Don has come in and been value for money in the dressing room as well as on the training ground."
